From First Love to Last Goodbye

From First Love to Last Goodbye

On the third day after Sonny Owen died in a car accident, Tabitha Clay found a diary in the study.

She opened the dairy, but the protagonist inside was not her, his wife.

The beginning of the diary reads, [I Love You, Tania]

Tabitha was stunned, unable to believe that Sonny would have such feelings for Tania Owen.

Tania, Sonny's half-sister, always thought that the man was just a sister-con and never thought that he had such feelings for her.

She opened the carefully preserved letters one by one and solved her doubts from them.

It turned out that the person Sonny had always liked was his sister, but the feelings of young people were always so passionate and flamboyant.

Their secret relationship was discovered by Sonny’s father, who was furious and thought it was a lie. In order to cut off this forbidden love, the Owen Family found Tabitha, who had always had a crush on Sonny and forced him to marry her.

After marriage, they treated each other with respect. She thought he had feelings for her, but he was not good at expressing it in words.

He would carry her to the hospital when she had a fever in the middle of the night; he would silently hand her warm water when she was on her period; he would cook for her when she forgot to eat because of work.

But after seeing the words on the latest date, Tabitha felt like a joke.

[Every night, I fall asleep while counting your shadows, but when I wake up, I find that the person beside me is not you.]

During the ten years of marriage with Sonny, he always liked to hug her from behind to sleep. He said that in this position, their hearts were closest to each other.

Ten years of marriage, seventeen years of secret love, but in the end, she became someone else's shadow.

She did not know how long it was before she heard crying from downstairs.

“Mom, I should not have messed with those drug addicts. It was all because of me. My brother died trying to save me. They were the ones who hit him to death.”

“Shut up. Keep this to yourself. You know what will happen to you if your dad finds out,” Tania's mother said.

If Sonny’s father knew that his son was killed by her, she would be living a life worse than death.

Hearing this, Tabitha could not help but drop the box in her hand to the ground. It turned out that Sonny died to save Tania.

The mother and daughter downstairs heard the noise and came to the study. They looked at each other and Tania’s mother picked up the vase at the door and smashed it on Tabitha's head.

Tabitha could not stay and felt dazed for a moment before slowly closing her eyes.

If she could go back to the time when everything had not started, Tabitha would definitely not like Sonny anymore.

——

When she opened her eyes again, Tabitha was already in the Owen Family's old house and in front of her was the deceased Mr. Owen.

“Tabitha, what do you think?”

Tabitha was stunned for a moment, then she realized that she was reborn and returned to the time when Owen's family asked her and Sonny to get married.

Mr. Owen and Mr. Clay were comrades-in-arms who had shared life and death together. When they were in the army, they agreed to marry their children.

Unexpectedly, they both gave birth to sons, so the marriage contract had to be extended to the next generation.

The Clay Family finally got a little girl and they were so precious that they did not want to recognize this marriage. However, they could not stand Mr. Owen's thick skin, so he pestered Mr. Clay to acknowledge the marriage.

But he had one condition, which was that she could choose who to marry.

Mr. Owen also had another son, Raquel Owen, who was only three years older than Tabitha and Sonny. However, he showed amazing biological talent since he was a child and went abroad when Tabitha was fifteen years old.

With the deliberate matchmaking of the two families, Tabitha and Sonny became almost inseparable and she gradually fell in love with Sonny after that incident.

It was just that Sonny always treated her as his younger sister, but later he fell in love with the younger sister brought by his stepmother and gradually drifted away from her.

But at that time, Tabitha did not know what caused Sonny to become increasingly cold towards her, so she attributed everything to herself.

She began to respond to Sonny's every request. Once, he played a prank on Tabitha by asking her to perform ice ballet in a frozen artificial lake.

Tabitha knew she would fall, she still put on her most beautiful dance costume and danced for him.

As expected, Tabitha fell down and developed a high fever when she returned.

After being tormented by Sonny for a whole year, Tabitha was about to give up when the Owen Family came knocking on her door.

Memories engulfed her like a tide. Tabitha was a little breathless. She looked at the kind-hearted Mr. Owen in front of her and said firmly, “I choose Raquel Owen.”

Since God had given her a chance to correct her mistakes, she had to seize it.

Mr. Owen, who was smiling on the side, froze in his expression and looked at Tabitha in a somewhat inappropriate manner.

“Sorry, who do you choose?”

Mr. Owen's confidence in winning suddenly flared up. He did not expect that Tabitha, who had always been following Sonny, would choose his younger brother.

Tabitha looked at Mr. Owen and said seriously, “Mr. Owen, I said I chose Raquel Owen.”

Sonny's father angrily slammed the table and pointed at Tabitha's nose, his lips trembling, not knowing whether he was panicking or furious.

“You, you are just messing around, Raquel is your uncle!”

Chapter 2

Mr. Owen, who had been silent, stood up upon seeing this and slammed his walking stick heavily on the ground with a ‘bang.’

“What bullshit are you talking about? Put your hands down. Tabitha will be your daughter-in-law from now on. You are her family. How can you treat her like this?!”

Sonny’s father reluctantly put down his hand and wanted to say something, but was asked to leave by Mr. Owen's men.

An hour later, Tabitha returned to the Clay Family from the Owen Family's old house.

As soon as she entered the door, Tabitha's parents looked at her nervously. Tabitha could not help but find it a little funny and at the same time, she felt even more guilty.

Tabitha's father and mother had always disapproved of her and Sonny's relationship, but she insisted on having her own way, which deeply hurt them both.

“Mom, Dad, please help me prepare the materials for studying in Germany.”

Her father and mother were a little confused. They were going to discuss marriage, so why did she bring up studying abroad and in a country as strict as Germany.

No, was Raquel from the Owen Family studying for a doctorate in Germany?

Thinking of this, her father opened his eyes wide in surprise and asked Tabitha carefully, “Tabitha, who did you choose?”

Her mother also reacted and looked at her expectantly.

“Am I not allowed to choose Raquel Owen just because he is Sonny’s uncle?”

As she spoke, Tabitha clingily snuggled into her mother's arms and acted coquettishly.

Tabitha's father and mother looked at each other, happy but also a little distressed. They knew how much their daughter liked Sonny and that time when she did not choose him, she must have suffered a great injustice.

After discussing with her father and mother, Tabitha came to her University and planned to go through the procedures for studying abroad.

In her previous life, she was going to study in Germany, but she stayed for Sonny. If she were to live her life over again, she would never give up her future for a man.

Tabitha came to the Dean's office and just after knocking on the door, she found Sonny and Tania were there too.

Seeing her, Sonny's eyes flashed with guilt and then he said coldly, “Tabitha, are you following me?”

Tabitha was a little slow to react and subconsciously asked back, “What did you say?”

Sonny gave a mocking smile.

“Isn't it just that I did not go back with you yesterday? You also teamed up with my dad to lie to me, saying that you were planning to marry my uncle.

“Tabitha, is playing hard to get fun? Seeing that I did not react, you came to me again. Do you have any shame?”

Tabitha realized that Sonny thought she was lying to him and did not believe that she would choose Raquel.

“I really did not lie to you. I was planning to be with Raquel…."

Before Tabitha could explain clearly, Sonny interrupted impatiently, “Tabitha, you should stop throwing a tantrum now. You do not have to join my dad and the others in forcing me. You'd better not marry me.”

Seeing the man's impatient expression, Tabitha suddenly felt tired and did not want to explain any more. Anyway, when she went abroad in five days, he would know that she was not lying to her.

Tabitha said nothing more, but directly handed the document in her hand to the Dean who was watching the show on the side.

“Mr. Ernest, please sign it.”

Mr. Ernest silently flipped through the documents and when he saw a certain part, he suddenly stopped. He raised his head and looked at the three of them strangely.

“Who discovered the asteroid originally named ‘0602’ and now called ‘Tania?’”

Tabitha suddenly turned around and looked at Sonny and Tania.

Sonny felt a little embarrassed, but he still looked at Tabitha with confidence.

“The school Tania applied to wants some resumes and you do not plan to study abroad, so what's wrong with giving it to Tania?”

Tabitha's eyes flashed with anger, “Sonny, you clearly know what this asteroid means to me. It’s my grandpa!”

Chapter 3

Tabitha's grandfather, Mr. Clay, was a professor of astronomy. Influenced by him, Tabitha also studied astronomy in college.

After she was admitted to college, her grandfather passed away. Not long after, Tabitha discovered a new asteroid during an observation.

Tabitha was a staunch materialist, but after verifying that the asteroid was new, she could not help but shed tears.

“It must be my grandfather. He once said that after he dies, he will turn into a star to accompany me.”

So Tabitha named this asteroid ‘0602,’ which was her grandfather's birthday.

Sonny obviously also remembered this story and his hesitant lips did not speak again.

Tania, who was standing by, suddenly tugged at Sonny's sleeve pitifully as she said, “Brother, forget it. I do not necessarily have to go to the school I like, even though I've liked it for several years and now I finally have the chance to go.”

The man lowered his head and saw Tania's eyes filled with tears. His originally wavering heart became firm.

Sonny turned to look at Mr. Ernest, “Mr. Ernest, I plan to donate a laboratory to the school in a few days.”

Mr. Ernest looked at Tabitha with some embarrassment upon seeing this. From their previous conversation, he knew that this asteroid was discovered by Tabitha, but how many students could donate a laboratory with complete equipment?

As Tabitha saw the look in Mr. Ernest’s eyes, she knew the result. As the Dean, he saw that he had to consider school first rather than student.

“Sonny, you could have bought an asteroid, why did you have to do this? I have always been responsive to your requests over the years, can you agree to this one request of mine? Change the name of this asteroid back to me.”

Sonny's expression was firm but unquestionable as he said, “It's too slow to buy a new one. Tania can't wait any longer. Be obedient, Tabitha.”

In the end, he even used a threatening tone. After he finished speaking, he nodded to Mr. Ernest and left with Tania.

Tania excitedly jumped onto Sonny and said happily, “Thank you, brother. Now I can definitely apply to my ideal school.”

Tania stuck to Sonny and looked at her provocatively.

Tabitha was stunned and unable to come back to her senses until Mr. Ernest's cough brought her back to her senses.

“Tabitha, you see, I have my own difficulties, but if you delete this experience, I can sign for you right away.”

After completing all the formalities, Tabitha felt a little depressed and unknowingly came to an artificial lake.

Looking at the familiar scenery in front of her, Tabitha could not help but be in a trance for a moment. This was her and Sonny's secret base before Tania came to the Owen Family.

This place carries the youth of Tabitha and Sonny. The two had originally agreed to keep this secret base forever.

But since Tania followed her mother to marry into the Owen Family three years ago, Sonny gradually forgot about this place and finally he brought Tania here.

The two had a big fight over this and were in a cold war for more than half a year. It was not until that incident happened that Tabitha took the initiative to end the cold war with Sonny.

Just as Tabitha was standing by the lake in a daze, a huge force knocked her into the lake.

Tabitha tried desperately to swim out of the water, but a hand held her tightly, preventing her from floating to the surface.

Just when Tabitha was about to lose consciousness, the power on her wrist finally disappeared and there was another person in the water.

Tabitha struggled to float to the surface, she saw Sonny leaning over the shore and giving Tania artificial respiration.

Tania coughed up a mouthful of water, opened her eyes, saw Sonny and hugged him fiercely.

“Brother, I almost thought I would never see you again.”

After Sonny calmed Tania down, he turned to look at Tabitha who had crawled back to the shore exhausted.

“What happened? How did Tania fall into the lake?”

Tabitha sat on the shore with a pale face. She wanted to speak but only coughed.

At this moment, Tania suddenly choked up, pointed at Tabitha and cried as she explained, “It was Tabitha who pushed me down.

“After I got home today, I felt sorry for Tabitha, so I asked her out to apologize to her. Tabitha asked me to come here and without saying a word, she pulled me down with her.”

The more Sonny listened, the darker his face became. He looked at Tabitha coldly, “Do you have anything else to explain?”

Tabitha finally coughed up the water she had choked on. She said in a hoarse voice, “She was the one who dragged me down.”

Unexpectedly, after hearing Tabitha's words, Sonny stood up angrily and kicked Tabitha into the lake again.

“Tania can't swim, why would she pull you into the lake with her?! How dare you still lie to me. You want to kill Tania just because of an asteroid. You are so vicious.”

Chapter 4

Tabitha had used up all his strength before, so when he was kicked in again without warning, Tabitha's eyelids slowly closed and she slowly sank to the bottom of the lake.

When Tabitha opened her eyes again, she found herself lying on the cobblestone path beside the lake, her clothes wet and sticking to her body.

Tabitha's mobile phone also sank to the bottom of the lake. Fortunately, she had placed the information on a chair in the park.

Tabitha dragged her leg, which was scratched by a cross and slowly walked to the chair. Looking at the folder that was safe, she breathed a sigh of relief.

An hour later, she finally returned to the Clay Family. Tabitha's father and mother in the living room stood up suddenly when they heard the voice.

Seeing Tabitha in such an awkward state, her father frowned and asked, “What happened? Who made you look like this?”

Tabitha's mother quickly called the family doctor to treat Tabitha's wound and then slapped Tabitha's father.

“Why are you so fierce? Can't you see the child is injured?”

Tabitha's father watched in silence as Tabitha bandaged the wound, then went to the study room angrily. Even if Tabitha did not say it, he knew who did it.

Apart from Sonny, who else would dare to bully his daughter?

He had turned a blind eye these years for the sake of his daughter, but that time his daughter did not choose him, so he hoped Sonny could take responsibility for his actions.

The next day, when Tabitha opened her eyes, she found that there was suddenly a friend request on her phone.

Looking at the other party's straightforward nickname, she quickly nodded in agreement.

[Uncle, hello.]

The other party quickly replied, [The flight ticket is in three days. I will pick you up then.]

Tabitha replied with an emoticon only.

The two had hardly spoken to each other since they were young. Last year, because Sonny did not like this uncle who was only three years older than him, Tabitha deleted him.

At that time since she had chosen him without his knowledge, Tabitha always felt a little sorry for him and a little embarrassed.

Just as she was holding her phone and digging her toes into the ground, the door of the room suddenly opened.

Sonny angrily snatched Tabitha's new phone and threw it to the ground.

“Tabitha, is this interesting for you? Yesterday you almost killed Tania and now you complained to my grandfather, causing Tania to be almost kicked out of the Owen Family. Are you satisfied now?”

Tabitha felt a little distressed when she saw the phone dropped on the carpet. This was a new phone that the housekeeper had just delivered. She hoped that it was not broken.

Sonny looked at Tabitha who did not respond, thinking that she was feeling guilty, so he directly reached out and pulled her up.

“You know you are wrong. Come with me to the old house and explain to Grandpa right now. Ask him to let Tania go.”

The wound that Tabitha had just bandaged began to ache again and she subconsciously broke free from Sonny's hand.

“I told you it was not me. If you do not believe me, you can watch the surveillance video.”

Sonny looked at Tabitha in disbelief. She actually dared to treat him like this.

“Tabitha, are you crazy? Do you really not want to marry me?” he asked in disbelief.

Tabitha, who had squatted down to pick up her phone, slowly stood up as she answered, “Of course, I did not choose you, so I won't marry you, nor will I destroy the relationship between you and your sister. Do you understand?”

Sonny 's expression changed from angry to sarcastic as he sneered, “You are still pretending, Tabitha. You said you won't marry me, but what is the use of the betrothal gifts my family prepared?

“Tabitha, it's meaningless if you pretend too much. I'm giving you a way out now, so you should back off. Come and tell Grandpa that Tania can stay in the Owen Family and I will agree to marry you.”

As he spoke, he began to pull Tabitha outside. Sonny accidentally saw the content of Tabitha's text message. He wanted to snatch the phone to take a closer look, but Tabitha dodged him.

“What are you going to do in Germany?!”

Chapter 5

Tabitha paused and said casually, “There is a fashion show in Germany recently. My friend and I have made an appointment to go and watch it together.”

Sonny breathed a sigh of relief, but for some reason he still felt a little uneasy. He wanted to continue asking, but his mobile phone suddenly rang urgently.

When the man answered the phone, his expression suddenly changed. Regardless of Tabitha's resistance, he dragged her straight into the car, running through countless red lights on the way, which made Tabitha tremble with fear.

Her face was pale and she held the seat belt tightly, trying to stop the man's behavior.

“Sonny, are you crazy? Stop the car, stop the car quickly!”

Sonny ignored Tabitha's words and stepped on the accelerator to the floor.

A sense of despair rose in Tabitha's heart. Was she going to die in such a cowardly way after living a new life?

Just as Tabitha was daydreaming, her forehead suddenly hit the dashboard. Tabitha immediately felt dizzy and wanted to vomit.

Sonny did not notice that Tabitha was not right and directly pulled her in front of Mr. Owen.

“Grandpa, Tabitha is here, please listen to her explanation.”

After he finished speaking, a hint of pleading appeared in Sonny's eyes, which made Tabitha a little dazed.

It turned out that such an expression could appear on the arrogant prince of the Owen Family.

Perhaps it was because of Tabitha's body, her heart suddenly felt sour and her words came out uncontrollably, “Mr. Owen, I fell down accidentally. It has nothing to do with Tania.”

Mr. Owen's inquiring eyes fell on Tabitha, which made her sober up in an instant.

Although she was a little annoyed about what she had just said, she had already said it, so she might as well accept it and regard it as putting an end to Tabitha in this life.

Tabitha looked straight at Mr. Owen, her eyes clear and transparent.

Mr. Owen knew what was going on, but seeing Tabitha like this, he had no choice but to go along with her wishes.

“If that's the case, I'll forgive Tania this time, but she can't live in the Owen Family anymore.”

Sonny was originally very satisfied with Tabitha's understanding, but when he heard what Mr. Owen said, the man showed dissatisfaction.

He wanted to say something else, but seeing Mr. Owen's expression that did not tolerate rejection, he swallowed the words silently.

Tania, who had been silent in the distance, suddenly stepped forward, knelt down in front of Mr. Owen and kowtowed, begging, “Grandpa, thank you for taking care of me for so many years. Everything is my fault. Please don't blame my brother. I will move out of the Owen Family now.”

Sonny helped Tania up with a distressed look, glared at Tabitha fiercely and went upstairs with Tania to pack up their things.

“How are the preparations going, Tabitha?” Mr. Owen did not mention what happened just then and turned to ask about Tabitha.

“It's ready. Uncle Raquel bought me a plane ticket for the day after tomorrow.”

Mr. Owen's expression finally softened and he nodded.

“Raquel cannot come back now, so I will send the betrothal gifts to your house the day after tomorrow and release the news of the marriage between the two families to the public.”

Just then, there was a sound of something heavy falling at the stairs. The two looked in the direction of the sound and saw Tania looking at them with red eyes.

“Brother, I wish you a happy wedding.”

After saying that, Tania could not help crying and ran away, leaving the luggage that she had just packed on the spot.

Sonny hurriedly tried to catch up with Tania, but stopped abruptly after noticing the old man's expression.

He seemed to be hiding something and walked to Tabitha's side, “Grandpa, then Tabitha and I will leave first.”

As he said that, he hurriedly pulled Tabitha and chased after Tania.

Tabitha did not quite understand why Sonny wanted to drag her along, but thinking that she would be leaving the day after tomorrow, she simply followed them to see what else the two of them could do.

But when the two of them caught up with her in the car, they saw that Tania had her head down and was wiping away tears, she did not even notice the red light.

With a loud ‘bang’ sound and Sonny's heart-wrenching scream, Tania fell in a pool of blood.

Chapter 6

The two hurriedly sent Tania to the hospital. Sonny, who was sitting on a chair outside the operating room, suddenly became furious.

He suddenly stood up and grabbed Tabitha's neck as he threatened, “Tabitha, if anything happens to Tania, you won't have an easy life either.”

Tabitha slapped Sonny's arm hard, but it was of no use. Just as she felt the oxygen in her chest getting less and less, her arm also had no strength left and slowly drooped down.

Just when Tabitha thought she was really going to suffocate to death, the door of the operating room suddenly opened.

“The patient is bleeding heavily and needs a blood transfusion urgently. Who among you has type A blood? Come with me.”

Sonny turned his head abruptly to look at Tabitha who was coughing and covering her neck.

“Tabitha, Tania got into trouble because she heard your conversation with Grandpa. Now you should compensate Tania.”

Tabitha's body and heart in this life had disappeared completely due to Sonny's ruthless actions just then.

She coughed and looked at Sonny mockingly with red eyes as she sneered, “Sonny, why did not I notice that you value family affection so much before? How could you treat your half-sister like that? Do you treat her as a sister or a love sister?”

Sonny froze and slapped Tabitha in the face.

“Tania's life or death is uncertain, yet you are still maliciously speculating about my relationship with her. Tabitha, why are you so cold-blooded and heartless?”

Cold-blooded and heartless?

For so many years, she followed him like a dog, just because of the kindness he showed her during that period of time which she still dared not recall.

Although Sonny eventually forgot the past due to post-traumatic stress disorder, Tabitha dared not forget it at all and always stayed by his side, but what was the final outcome?

She was used as a substitute.

She was killed by Tania and her mother.

Tabitha had repaid that favor with her life and that moment she did not owe him anything.

After figuring it out, Tabitha stood up with the help of the wall and wanted to leave.

But she forgot that this was the Owen Family's private hospital and Sonny could be said to be the prince here. If he did not want her to leave, how could she leave?

Sonny saw that Tabitha wanted to leave, sneered and ordered someone to hold her down, “Let's do it.”

Tabitha was pressed on the cold floor, watching the thick needle pierce into her blood vessel.

As the blood slowly flowed out, Tabitha's face gradually turned pale. The medical staff beside him stopped what they were doing hesitantly when they saw this.

“Mr. Owen, do you want to continue? We have already drawn 400cc, which is the maximum amount of blood an adult can donate at one time. If we draw more, something bad might happen.”

Sonny ordered with a cold face, “Go on, do not worry about her, it's just drawing some blood, it's far less painful than the pain Tania has suffered.”

Even though the medical staff looked reluctant, they did not dare to disobey Sonny's words and had to continue to change a new blood bag.

Tabitha's vision gradually became blurred and then she seemed to have returned to those dark days.

“Boss, who is this little boy? Did not the higher-ups say they wanted a little girl?”

The man who was called the boss took a deep puff of the cigarette in his hand.

“This little beast has been chasing our car. I tied him up here to avoid attracting attention. Since he wants to suffer, I'll satisfy him.”

As he said this, he splashed the water in his hand onto Sonny and Tabitha's faces.

Seeing the two men open their eyes, he picked up the whip beside him and walked towards them.

Chapter 7

“Oh, you're awake.”

Watching the ferocious man gradually approaching them, Sonny calmly stood in front of Tabitha.

The man obviously noticed this scene. He suddenly stopped running towards Tabitha and turned to look at Sonny with malicious intent.

“Originally, it had nothing to do with you, but you insisted on coming over here and now you're trying to be a hero, so I'll take action against you.”

As he spoke, he whipped Sonny. Sonny groaned, but still stood firmly in front of Tabitha.

He raised his head and looked coldly at the man called Boss as he questioned, “What is your purpose in kidnapping us? Who ordered you to do so? If it's for money, we can pay double.”

Hearing the double, Josh Ismael paused as he raised his hand. Seeing this, Tabitha also quickly spoke, “Yes, as long as you let us go, you can tell us a number and we will give it to you.”

Josh, who was originally feeling a little excited, suddenly heard his cell phone ring and then he started waving the whip without saying a word.

Sonny's body was covered with bloodstains. Tabitha was blocked behind him and tried anxiously to break free from the rope.

Josh noticed Tabitha's little action and said to her while hitting Sonny, “You do not know yet, but this guy was completely implicated by you. That person only asked me to kidnap you. He was chasing us from behind the car and wanted us to let you go, so he was kidnapped.”

Tabitha saw that Sonny's white shirt had been stained red and her eyes were red as she looked at Josh viciously.

“Since it has nothing to do with him, just let him go. If you have any problems with me, come to me.”

With a look from Josh, a person appeared in front of Tabitha. With a crisp sound of ‘snap,’ Tabitha's fair face began to swell up.

“What was that look in your eyes just now? You dare to look at the boss like that, you must be itching for trouble, right?”

After saying that, he kicked Tabitha in the stomach. Sonny propped himself up and protected Tabitha, enduring the beating from several people.

Three days passed like this.

During these days, Tabitha and the others waited numbly for Josh's torture, but no one appeared until the sun set outside the window.

The two looked at each other, with only one thought in their minds, that was to escape. Tabitha groped for a stone on the ground to cut the rope on her hands and then began to help Sonny untie him.

As she untied the rope, Tabitha could not help but shed tears as she apologized, “I'm sorry, Sonny.”

Sonny not only had whip marks on his body, but also wounds caused by knife cuts. Because they had not been treated, some of the wounds were still bleeding. Sonny raised his pale face and forced a smile at Tabitha.

Just when he was about to speak to comfort her, he heard footsteps outside the door. Sonny's face changed and he suddenly broke free from the ropes on his body and pushed Tabitha to the window of the warehouse.

“Go!”

Tabitha knew that was not the time to refuse, so she looked back at Sonny as she jumped out of the warehouse.

The man held Josh tightly, ignoring the fists that fell on him. Only after he saw Tabitha successfully escape did his tense expression relax.

Then he could no longer hold on and fainted.

When Sonny woke up again, he was already in the hospital. After waking up, he had forgotten everything that had happened during this period and only Tania was guarding the ward.

“Brother, you finally woke up!”

Sonny looked around and spoke in a hoarse voice, “What's wrong with me?”

Tania thought of what the doctor had said, “The pain the patient has experienced in the past few days far exceeds the body's capacity, so the body may activate a protective mechanism to forget the pleasant experience during this period.

“Brother, you were kidnapped and I rescued you.”

Chapter 8

Tabitha opened her eyes abruptly, her body shaking uncontrollably. Even if she were to live her life again and dream about the kidnapping again, Tabitha still could not stop feeling scared.

Sonny, who was standing by, felt a little unhappy when he saw Tabitha start to daydream after waking up.

“Now that you're awake, don't pretend to be dead. I’ve asked the doctor to treat you, so even if you lost too much blood, you can't be unconscious for such a long time. I won't feel sorry for you even if you pretend to sleep for another month.”

Tabitha looked up at Sonny in a daze. The person in front of her seemed to overlap with the boy who stood in front of her in her memory.

Tabitha could not help but raise her hand to hold him, but was brought back to reality by a crying voice.

“What are you doing?” Tania asked as she was pushed in by a nurse in a wheelchair.

Sonny, who had not made any move for some reason, also came to his senses and slapped Tabitha's hand away.

When he saw the look in Tabitha's eyes just then, he felt distressed and pity in his heart, so he stood there motionless and let Tabitha do what she wanted.

Tabitha was brought back to reality by the man's slap and she could not help feeling a little bitter in her heart.

The person in front of her was no longer the same person as before.

Thinking of the kidnapping, Tabitha was in no mood to continue acting with them. She checked the time and got out of bed.

“You guys chat, I'm leaving first.”

The plane was about to take off in three hours, so she had to go home quickly to pack her things.

Sonny, who was gently comforting Tania, did not react after hearing this. Instead, Tania, who was silently crying, raised her head.

“Sister, can I talk to you?”

The two of them came to the rooftop of the hospital and Tabitha got straight to the point, “What do you want to say?”

Tania put away her pitiful look.

“Tabitha, I will emphasize it again, just maybe you really don't understand. My brother only loves me now. Even if you have an engagement, he won't marry you.”

Tabitha just looked at Tania's proud expression calmly and just said, “Oh” to indicate that she understood.

Tania hated her being like this the most, as if nothing was a problem, so she spoke without thinking, “There's one thing you have not figured out yet, right? Why did Sonny suddenly distance himself from you and even start to hate you after he woke up? Of course, it was because of me.”

Hearing this, Tabitha finally looked at Tania seriously and Tania smiled at her proudly.

“When my brother woke up, he forgot what he had experienced during that period because of the stress and you were also in a coma, so I lied to him and told him that you were kidnapped and you ran away secretly without caring about him. I saved him regardless of my own risk.”

Tabitha finally understood the change in Sonny's attitude that year.

As soon as she woke up, she went to Sonny's ward to find her, but was told that he had been discharged from the hospital. So she went to Owen's house despite her family's dissuasion, wanting to see him.

But he was turned away. Tabitha stood outside the Owen Family's door for a whole day but did not see Sonny.

It was not until she fainted from exhaustion and was brought home by her father and mother to recuperate that she saw Sonny again, a month had passed.

Just as she was about to step forward with joy, she discovered that Sonny, who had always been polite to Tania, was wiping Tania's mouth affectionately.

When seeing Tabitha's figure, the gentle smile on his face disappeared. After looking at her with disgust, he pulled Tania away.

Chapter 9

Tania finally saw the reaction she wanted to see and when she was about to say something else, she noticed a figure behind the fire door.

Tania suddenly raised her hand and slapped herself hard. Sonny, who was worried about Tania catching up, heard the noise and rushed in.

He saw Tania covering her face and Tabitha standing in front of her indifferently. Without Tania's instigation, he thought that Tabitha had hit her.

After checking Tania's face, Sonny turned around and was about to hit her back, but was stopped by Tabitha's quick eyes and hands.

But she had not recovered yet, so how could she be a match for Sonny? Sonny raised his other hand and slapped Tabitha hard in the face.

Tania saw this, a hint of pleasure flashed in her eyes and then she cried and held Sonny's hand.

“Do not hit her, it's all my fault. I should not have gotten into the Owen Family with my mother and I should not have been so close to my brother. But I've wanted a brother since I was a child. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sister.”

Sonny hugged her distressingly, then turned to glare at Tabitha as he snapped, “Do not think you can bully Tania just because you have my grandfather's support. Tania just woke up and you bullied her like this. If you really become her sister-in-law, will you still tolerate her?

“I will tell Grandpa that the betrothal gifts will be sent a few days later. When you are ready to accommodate Tania, I will go to your house to propose.”

Tabitha did not expect that Sonny still thought she was going to marry him.

At this moment, she raised her hand to check the time and it was too late to pack her luggage.

She took out her cell phone and wanted to send a message to her father and mother, asking them to bring their ID cards to meet them at the airport.

Tas he message was edited and sent, the phone was snatched away by Sonny.

“You still want to complain to Grandpa?! Since you are so unrepentant, then just stay here for a while. When you realize your mistake, I will come to open the door for you.”

As he said that, he pushed Tania off the rooftop and turned around to lock the door.

Tabitha did not expect Sonny to do this and she slammed on the fire door anxiously.

“Sonny, let me out. Sonny, I was wrong, let me out.”

Sonny, who was outside the door, heard Tabitha's anxious voice and could not help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Sure enough, Tabitha had lied to him some time ago, saying that she had not chosen him. That time she became anxious when she heard that he would not go to her house to propose marriage.

The heart that had been lifted up was put down. He did not feel as irritated as he imagined, but instead felt a little happy.

Sonny did not know why he had this reaction. He looked at Tania guiltily and his face immediately turned cold.

“When the time is up, someone will naturally release you. Just reflect on your actions there.”

Sonny looked at the phone in his hand and left her outside the door, then pushed Tania away.

Tabitha on the rooftop felt a little desperate when she heard the footsteps getting farther and farther away outside the door. The darkness in her heart swallowed her up.

Would she be unable to escape this love triangle in this life, or would she be trapped for the rest of her life for a man?

Just when Tabitha was in despair, she suddenly heard a mobile phone ringing outside the door.

Her eyes suddenly brightened and after asking someone to release her, she immediately took a car to the airport.

Tabitha's father and mother, who were anxiously waiting at the boarding gate, finally breathed a sigh of relief when they saw Tabitha.

The radio was already urging them and Tabitha's father and mother had no time to ask any questions and directly handed the packed luggage to Tabitha.

Tabitha took the luggage and hugged her father and mother while holding back her tears.

“Goodbye, Mom and Dad.”

She also said silently in her heart: "Sonny, since I have been reborn and got a second chance, this time I will make you completely get out of my life and my world!"

Tabitha calmly deleted all the photos she had taken with Sonny in the album, and finally deleted all his contact information.

The moment the plane took off, her love for him was completely cleared.

From then on, she would pursue her bright future...

Welcome!
